Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how this application (“the Application”) collects, uses, stores, and protects data obtained from connected eCommerce platforms.

The Application is a private seller tool used by the operator to manage their own marketplace stores (including order management, fulfillment, and internal workflows). It is not offered as a public SaaS product and is not made available to unrelated third parties.

Where required by connected platforms (such as Etsy), data is accessed only after explicit authorization by the store owner and is used strictly in accordance with applicable platform policies and data protection laws.

Data Sources

The Application may connect to one or more third-party platforms, including but not limited to:

  • Etsy
  • WooCommerce
  • eBay
  • TikTok Shop
  • Temu

Data is accessed only through official APIs provided by these platforms and in accordance with their respective terms, including required authorization flows.

Data Collected

The Application may access the following types of data:

  • Orders and order items
  • Listings or product data
  • Shipping and fulfillment details
  • Customer information contained in orders (such as name, delivery address, email address, phone number, and order notes/messages if provided by the connected platform)
  • Store or account identifiers required to link the connected store

The Application does not collect or store payment card details. Payments are processed directly by the relevant marketplace and/or payment providers.

API Credentials & Access Tokens

To connect a store, the Application may store API credentials and/or access tokens issued by the connected platform. These credentials are used solely to perform requested integration functions such as syncing orders, products, inventory, and fulfillment or shipping updates.

Access tokens stored by the Application are encrypted before being stored in the database.

Access can be revoked at any time by disconnecting the store within the Application and/or revoking access from within the relevant platform’s account or app settings.

Use of Data

Collected data is used solely for legitimate operational purposes, including:

  • Viewing and managing orders across connected stores
  • Internal reporting and operational workflows
  • Fulfillment and shipping coordination

The Application does not sell, rent, redistribute, or use connected platform data for advertising, profiling, or resale.

Platform-Specific Data Use (Etsy)

Etsy Integration & Authorization

When an Etsy shop is connected, the Application accesses Etsy data only after explicit authorization via Etsy’s OAuth consent flow. By connecting your Etsy shop, you authorize the Application to access your Etsy shop data on your behalf in accordance with Etsy’s API Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy.

Etsy Data Accessed

When you connect your Etsy shop, the Application may access and store the following types of Etsy data:

  • Shop Information: Shop name, shop ID, and basic shop settings
  • Order Data: Order details, order status, order dates, and transaction information
  • Buyer Information: Buyer names, shipping addresses, email addresses (if provided by Etsy), and order messages
  • Listing Data: Product listings, titles, descriptions, prices, and inventory levels
  • Shipping Information: Shipping carrier details, tracking numbers, and fulfillment status

Use of Etsy Data

Etsy data is used solely to support the shop owner’s operational needs, including order management, fulfillment, shipping coordination, and internal reporting related to that Etsy shop.

Etsy data is not sold, shared, rented, or combined with external datasets for marketing, advertising, analytics beyond operational needs, profiling, or resale. We do not use Etsy data for any purpose other than providing the functionality of this Application.

Etsy Buyer Privacy

Buyer information obtained from Etsy (including names, addresses, and email addresses) is used solely for order fulfillment and shipping purposes. We do not contact Etsy buyers for marketing purposes or share their information with third parties except as necessary for order fulfillment (e.g., shipping carriers).

Data Retention & Deletion

Etsy data is retained only for as long as necessary for operational purposes. You may request deletion of your Etsy data at any time by contacting us at hello@layercrafted.co.uk. We will delete your Etsy data within 30 days of your request, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., tax records, dispute resolution).

When you disconnect your Etsy shop from the Application, we will cease accessing new Etsy data. Historical data may be retained for operational record-keeping unless you request deletion.

Etsy, the Etsy logo, and other Etsy trademarks are trademarks or registered trademarks of Etsy, Inc. This Application is not endorsed, sponsored, or affiliated with Etsy, Inc. Etsy is not responsible for the operation of this Application or the handling of data by this Application.

Data Storage & Retention

The Application stores operational records (such as orders, customers, shipping events, and related logs) to provide an internal operational history similar to order and shipping management tools.

Data is retained while the relevant store connection is active and for as long as reasonably necessary for operational, reconciliation, and record-keeping purposes. Syncing stops when a store is disconnected. Deletion requests may be submitted by contacting us.

Sharing & Service Providers

The Application may use service providers that process data on our behalf for operational purposes, such as:

  • SMTP/email delivery (administrative notifications only)
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Application logs used for security, troubleshooting, and operational monitoring

Connected platform data is not sold and is not used for advertising purposes.

Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are implemented to protect data, including authentication-based access control and restricted administrative access.

Where applicable, access to the Application is protected by HTTPS/TLS in transit. Access to production systems and data is limited to authorized administrators.

Cookies

The Application may use essential cookies required for authentication and core functionality. The Application does not use cookies for advertising.

Depending on your circumstances and applicable law, you may have the following rights:
